pc4peace and freegeek

Some initiatives that definitely fit in with poetic economics!

pc4peace http://www.pc4peace.org/ is seeking ways to bring computers to people in developing countries who need them, beginning with Cambodia. If you have the means to help pc4peace - please do!

Free Geek http://freegeek.org/ helps the needy get nerdy - and recycles computers, too.

Many thanks to everyone at pc4peace and Free Geek and similar organizations - for everything you do!

  1. Hey Heather, Free Geek has come to Vancouver! You're welcome to come down & see what we're up to. We're near Science World, at 117 East 2nd Ave. (between Main & Quebec).

Folks who need a computer can volunteer for 24 hours and get a free one in exchange (no computer experience necessary). Non-profits can apply for free computer equipment at our Hardware Foundation. We've got free workshops, events & a Linux computer lab. Drop by to say hi or drop off your unwanted computer equipment.
