The Wiley Online Open program says, in addition to article processing fees, Any additional standard publication charges will also apply, such as for color images or supplementary datasets.
This makes no sense! Colour charges do make sense in the print environment. It does cost extra to print in colour. Not so online!
If Wiley journals are still publishing in print, these costs should be borne by print subscribers, not those wishing to make the electronic version open access.
Tip for publishers: DO NOT include print-based costs in open choice processing fees. Unless you're planning to distribute the print for free?
